Ben and I were going to watch a movie in the theater (which we rarely do). We bought our tickets and then got in line for a blue soda and a popcorn! There was a family in front of us a Mom, Dad, and their daughter who looked to be about 4 or 5 years old. The Dad leaned down and asked the little girl “What do you want sweetie? You can get whatever you want tonight!”, the girl looked up with beaming eyes and said “I want a BIG popcorn and a BIG coke!”. Ben looked at me with the “I wish that was us” look (Because anyone who has been trying to conceive knows… there’s “the look”.). I just whispered to him and said “one day that WILL be us, God promised.”. They got their treats and then it was our turn, we ordered and I turned around to grab some napkins and I saw a movie poster that said “JOY.. COMING SOON”. Little did we know, that there was a movie that was about to be released titled “Joy”.
I hit Ben in the arm and said “Oh my gosh, babe, look at that movie poster.” We both just laughed.
Spoiler Alert: The movie was about a girl with a big dream who worked hard, went through some trials, but in the end came out victorious and reached her goals. Now some of you might say that was just a coincidence but I think God waited to release “Joy” in the year of 2015 because he knew Ben and Kaytlin Robinson would need a little extra Joy during the holiday season.
